Our Mission

The Sleigh Society, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
dedicated to creating safer, more compassionate and meaning experiences for children, families and individuals in vulnerable or sensitive circumstances.

We advance that mission by educating and equipping professional child-facing performers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to serve with greater awareness, empathy and understanding.

By bringing performers together with experts across healthcare, education and other specialized fields, we provide real-world education that helps them understand the children and families they may encounter—including those navigating sensitive, complex or difficult circumstances.

As The Sleigh Society grows, we are expanding our educational programs and partnerships to help ensure that every interaction has the potential to be delivered with compassion, dignity and care.

What Sets Us Apart

The Sleigh Society goes beyond traditional performing training. We bring together performance expertise with insight from professionals across healthcare, education and other specialized fields to better prepare performers for the children, families and sensitive situations they may encounter.

Real-World Expertise
Our programs bring together experienced performers, industry leaders and subject matter experts who provide practical education that strengthens performance, professionalism and compassionate engagement—ultimately creating better experiences for the children, families and individuals they serve.

An Interdisciplinary Approach
We connect performers with perspectives from healthcare, education, caregiving and other specialized fields—building greater awareness and understanding of the children, families, seniors and vulnerable populations they may serve.

Investing in the Person Behind the Performance
We believe meaningful experiences begin with well-prepared people. Our focus is developing the skills, confidence and awareness performers need to create positive, respectful and lasting interactions.

The Founders

Paul & Michelle Smith

Paul and Michelle Smith are the founders of The Sleigh Society, combining decades of experience in professional performance, business, marketing and communications with a shared commitment to raising standards within the performer community.

As professional performers themselves, Paul and Michelle understand the responsibility that comes with creating meaningful experiences for others. They believe the strongest performers are not only skilled in their craft, but prepared to approach every interaction with professionalism, empathy, awareness and care.

They founded The Sleigh Society to bring performers together with experienced educators, industry leaders and subject matter experts—creating opportunities to learn, grow and better prepare for the moments that matter.

Their vision is simple: invest in the person behind the performance, and you strengthen the experience for everyone they serve.
